Shanghai International Energy Exchange (hereinafter referred to as “INE”) has been on continuous efforts in investigating and penalizing violations of relevant rules and regulations, so as to strengthen the risk management of the futures market, regulate the futures trading activities and protect the legitimate rights and interests of futures market participants. The enforcement against such violations in July 2019 is listed as follows:
In the aspect of administration of abnormal trading behaviors, INE has dealt with a total of 19 cases of abnormal trading behaviors, among which 8 cases were self-trades and 11 cases were frequent order cancellations. INE has separately notified 19 relevant members of the above mentioned abnormal trading behaviors by phone and placed five clients on INE’s watch list, notified six abnormal trading behaviors to all the members. There was one client that reached the threshold set by INE on abnormal trading. Accordingly, INE has notified to the whole market and suspended the client from opening new positions on crude oil futures contracts.
In the aspect of identification and coordination of accounts with actual control relationship, INE has identified 32 groups of 85 clients that have reported the actual control relationship.
In the aspect of examining eight cases suspected of violating trading rules, found no violation. INE has reminded via conversation with four clients in July.
