Notice on Investigation and Penalties for Violations of Relevant Rules and Regulations in June 2024

Shanghai International Energy Exchange (hereinafter referred to as “INE”) has been on continuous efforts in investigating and penalizing violations of relevant rules and regulations, so as to strengthen the risk management of the futures market, regulate the futures trading activities and protect the legitimate rights and interests of futures market participants. The enforcement against such violations in June 2024 is listed as follows:

In the aspect of administration of abnormal trading behaviors, INE has dealt with a total of 7 cases, all were exceeding the intraday position opening volume prescribed by INE. INE has separately notified the relevant clients by phone through the members. INE has notified 7 abnormal trading behaviors to all the members and suspended 7 groups of accounts that exist the actual control relationship from opening new positions on the relevant futures contracts and notified to the market.

In the aspect of identification and cooperative investigation of accounts with actual control relationship, INE has identified 113 groups of 260 clients that exist the actual control relationship to cooperate with the investigation of the actual control relationship and urged 39 groups of 89 clients to cooperate with the investigation of the actual control relationship in June.

In the aspect of inspecting cases violating trading rules, INE has dealt with 3 cases, of which 1 case was false order placement, 1 case was price fluctuation caused by self trade, 1 case was price fluctuation caused by market price order.

INE has not filed and investigated any case suspected of violating trading rules in June.

INE reminds traders to be in compliance with its rules in the trading activities and report accounts with actual control relationship.
