Shanghai International Energy Exchange (hereinafter referred to as “INE”) has been on continuous efforts in investigating and penalizing violations of relevant rules and regulations, so as to strengthen the risk management of the futures market, regulate the futures trading activities and protect the legitimate rights and interests of futures market participants. The enforcement against such violations in August 2024 is listed as follows:
In the aspect of administration of abnormal trading behaviors, INE has dealt with a total of 7 cases, among which 1 case was self-trades, 6 cases were exceeding the intraday position opening volume prescribed by INE. INE has separately notified the relevant clients by phone through the members. INE has separately notified the relevant clients by phone through the members, notified 6 abnormal trading behaviors to all the members, suspended 6 groups of accounts that exist the actual control relationship from opening new positions on the relevant futures contracts and notified to the market.
In the aspect of identification and cooperative investigation of accounts with actual control relationship, INE has identified 160 groups of 374 clients that exist the actual control relationship to cooperate with the investigation of the actual control relationship and urged 41 groups of 87 clients to cooperate with the investigation of the actual control relationship in August.
In the aspect of inspecting cases violating trading rules, INE dealt with 6 cases, of which 2 cases were wrong orders, 2 cases were price fluctuation caused by market price order, 1 case was suspected of accommodation trade, 1 case was price fluctuation caused by self trade. INE has not filed and investigated any case suspected of violating trading rules in August.
INE reminds traders to be in compliance with its rules in the trading activities and report accounts with actual control relationship.
