Shanghai International Energy Exchange (hereinafter referred to as “INE”) has been on continuous efforts in investigating and penalizing violations of relevant rules and regulations, so as to strengthen the risk management of the futures market, regulate the futures trading activities and protect the legitimate rights and interests of futures market participants. The enforcement against such violations in September 2024 is listed as follows:
In the aspect of administration of abnormal trading behaviors, INE has dealt with a total of 16 cases, among which 6 cases were self-trades, 10 cases were exceeding the intraday position opening volume prescribed by INE. INE has separately notified the relevant clients by phone through the members. INE has separately notified the relevant clients by phone through the members, notified 10 abnormal trading behaviors to all the members, suspended 10 groups of accounts that exist the actual control relationship from opening new positions on the relevant futures contracts and notified to the market.
In the aspect of identification and cooperative investigation of accounts with actual control relationship, INE has identified 170 groups of 393 clients that exist the actual control relationship to cooperate with the investigation of the actual control relationship and urged 157 groups of 215 clients to cooperate with the investigation of the actual control relationship in September.
In the aspect of inspecting cases violating trading rules, INE dealt with 3 cases, of which 1 case was false order placement, 1 case was violating the position management rules of the Exchange, 1 case was price fluctuation caused by self trade. INE has filed and investigated 1 case suspected of violating trading rules in September.
INE reminds traders to be in compliance with its rules in the trading activities and report accounts with actual control relationship.
